This week, we started learning about surface tension of water. Next week, we will continue to experiment with water and also learn about acids and bases. When we return from spring break, we will take the first week to review all of our chemistry concepts and then will have a unit test in the following week.

Math:
We are learning about representing, ordering and comparing decimal numbers. The grades for the quiz on fractions will be posted in Power School this weekend. Here is the homework for next week. I am also posting an extra optional worksheet for the students who would like extra practice during Spring Break :)

This week, we finished "La créature du marais", we had some time to work on chapter 4. I am still missing lots of paragraph.

Please check PowerSchool as I am still missing some Chapter 2 assignments and many Chapter 4 assignments - rubric.

Next week, they will be getting ready for a presentation about an animal or a plant.

Social Studies

This week, students had their test on the Arctic region.  Marks will be posted no later than next Monday.

Students had time to work on their comparison of the point of views of the people from Nunavut and Calgary (Instructions and Rubric).  Some time will be given to work on it next week, but it can also be done at home.  The due date is : March 18th.

We also started planning for the big project of the regions of Canada.  Here are the guidelines and rubric : Planification et grille d'évaluation.  We will work on the research for the presentation next week.  More info will be added next week.
