Week 6: Oct 7-10

Math

Science

Social Studies

This week we finished the Atlantic region and had two classes to go over the study guide.  The test will be next Tuesday (October 15th).  Next week we will talk about the region of the Great Lake and St. Lawrence Lowlands.

FLA

This week in FLA we went to the library and got a new French book. Also, we review our present tense verbs to get ready for our quiz. The quiz was Thursday and wasn't completed successfully for many (grades in PowerSchool). I will give this quiz back on Tuesday and students who got a 1 or a 2 will be able to ask questions and continue studying to be ready for a retake on Monday, October 21st.

We will listen and complete the missing words of our weekly song on Tuesday, October 15th. To get ready, you can listen and study the lyrics.

Also, they finished writing a story this week and are suppose to give me a good copy. I am still missing many. Please see PowerSchool to see who has handed the work.

Next week, we will work on developing ideas and writing a description of our science wet land creature.

ELA
In ELA this week we started reading Bridge to Terabithia.  This will be our first novel study of the year.  We are exploring the theme of adversity and learning strategies to improve reading fluency and comprehension.
